NEXTGEN Group acquires NovaTech Ventures to deliver expanded sales as a service to the AsiaPac Channel

Channel Services aggregator and facilitator, NEXTGEN Group has acquired NovaTech Ventures to help power the next phase in the evolution of distribution – sales and channel management as a service. NEXTGEN, the enterprise software, cloud, data management and cybersecurity focused group has been on the forefront of channel innovation over its 10 year history and has now developed new models to support next generation SaaS based vendors in their endeavours to enter, grow and be successful in the AsiaPac region.

NovaTech will be extremely complimentary to NEXTGEN’s other core service businesses: Bang – digital marketing; Optima – cloud economics and software advisory; Connect – cloud management; and Orbus Capital – payment solutions. More importantly, NovaTech will help NEXTGEN form a new company focused exclusively on sales and channel management as a service, which will be announced in the coming weeks.
NovaTech was founded in 2001 and has matured to provide key channel services to vendors around market validation and entry, lead generation and development, and sales as a service, whilst providing advice on correct company structures and operations for our region. NovaTech Ventures and its Directors have deep experience in the enterprise market, having worked with or for major enterprise vendors such as Oracle, SAP, IBM, Vignette, and SAS. NovaTech Ventures has a team of 15 experienced and highly respected industry veterans who utilise their relationships, knowledge, and expertise to deliver the NovaTech solutions to vendors and channel partners. The entire NovaTech team will join NEXTGEN.

The NovaTech acquisition will enhance NEXTGEN’s solid growth profile, which saw FY21 finish with growth above 25%; the establishment of NEXTGEN Asia under Wendy O’Keeffe’s leadership; the rapid expansion of the Cybersecurity business by greater than 225%; and the addition of 12 strategic vendors, including AWS, Imperva, Extrahop, and Secureworks.
