Oracle SEA Press Release

The NEXTGEN Group today announced it is expanding its Australia and New Zealand Oracle collaboration into Asia this month after being awarded Oracle’s value-add distributor for Singapore.

NEXTGEN’s association with Oracle spans over a decade and during this time NEXTGEN has successfully built and supported the Australia and New Zealand channel as Oracle’s award-winning value-add distributor. NEXTGEN’s innovative channel services model, core technology portfolio, and commitment to localization have been the key market differentiators and now that model will be available in Singapore. NEXTGEN’s model has been recognized by Oracle through their Global Cloud VAD of the Year and numerous AsiaPac innovation and growth awards.

NEXTGEN expanded into Asia earlier this year opening offices in Singapore, Philippines, and Indonesia with more countries to come. Industry veteran Wendy O’Keeffe has been appointed Executive Vice President Asia, to build and grow enterprise software, cloud, and software-as-a-service offerings across the technology areas of Applications, Data Management, DevOps and Cyber Security.

The agreement to expand into Asia will see NEXTGEN leverage its rich Oracle experience, capability, and tailored Oracle channel services, combined with a dedicated Oracle team based in Singapore, to support local channel partners.

According to NEXGEN Group CEO, John Walters “Oracle is NEXTGEN’s foundation vendor partner and we have worked extremely hard with Oracle to build a model that is innovative, differentiated and provides partners with real value to support their GTM. We now have a strong and proven track record with Oracle, and we look forward to adjusting our model for local Asian markets to create a fresh approach and a better experience for Oracle, Oracle partners and Oracle customers.”

NEXTGEN will focus on accelerating Cloud adoption and consumption through education, enablement, and sales accreditation. This includes leveraging NEXTGEN’s Oracle Cloud Centre of Excellence (OCCOE), an independent innovation sandbox allowing Oracle partners to demonstrate complex solutions to customers in a collaborative and safe environment to the local market. NEXTGEN will also offer Singapore partners access to OPTIMA, our software and cloud advisory service that has completed over $80mil of Oracle opportunities in Australia and New Zealand over a six-year period. Another exciting channel offering is oSPACE, a data insights business that finds and develops new customer opportunities. This is an end-to-end service capability that helps partners to identify prospects at the right time in the buying cycle and qualify the opportunity, combined with tailored, creative digital marketing and Sales as a Services capabilities to deliver sales qualified opportunities to partners.

“I’m excited to be back living in Singapore and leading the NEXTGEN Team as we bring to market all that the NEXTGEN model has to offer. Our business heritage is synonymous with Oracle, and it is fantastic that they have appointed us as their distributor here. Given what is happening in the world, investment in enterprise software, cloud, data management and security is going through the roof. Enterprise customers and governments are doubling down to ensure services become much more efficient. Oracle has an important leadership role to play in all of these areas”, stated Wendy O’Keeffe.

NEXTGEN has appointed Simon Seow as Oracle Business Manager to lead the association in Singapore. Simon has more than 20 years of experience across all aspects of the channel, having spent time in a reseller, service provider and vendor environment. Most recently Simon was the Partner Manager at Megaport (an Oracle Fast Connect partner) looking after Southeast Asia and India region.

Simon’s initial priorities will be building a team around him to support our Oracle business and then to own and grow the Oracle business working closely with the team at Oracle to execute our commitments. “I am super excited about taking on this role, my goal is to leverage on the NEXTGEN skillset, best practice and value offerings that has formed the basis of our success in the Australian and New Zealand and become the Oracle VAD of choice in Singapore for our partners”.
