NEXTGEN Distribution Australia founded after Oracle asked Group CEO John Walters to set up a new local Australian distributor.

NEXTGEN Distribution New Zealand established following opportunities to expand the business across the Tasman Sea.

NEXTGEN Group companies OPTIMA, CREATE, and CONNECT established.

Inaugural Summer Party held. ORACLE Cloud Centre of Excellence established.

NEXTGEN Distribution Australia regional Victorian (VIC) office opens.

NEXTGEN Group acquires Bang - a leading brand, digital, creative agency. ORBUS Capital established. NEXTGEN Group head office relocates to North Sydney.

Inaugural Leadership Forum held. Inaugural Wise Forum held. ORACLE Cloud Centre of Excellence changes name to STRATUS.

Increased digital marketing agency with strategic stake in Elastic Digital. NEXTGEN Asia expands with Philippines office. NEXTGEN expands ACT presence with the appointment of Mick Lehman. New Singapore office opened.

John Walters founded NEXTGEN Distribution in 2011 along with Steve Murphy, and has rapidly expanded the NEXTGEN Group through relationships, trust and integrity.

Joining NEXTGEN Distribution in 2018, Gavin Lawless brings 25 years IT industry experience to his role as Managing Director of the Australian operation.

Wendy is a technology and distribution veteran, having worked with Ingram Micro precursor Tech Pacific, then spending 15 years with Westcon Group before joining Tech Data (formerly Avnet).

Kelvin comes to NEXTGEN after four years in the vendor community, most recently as the APAC Channel Director for Silver Peak (HPE). Responsible for growing the NEXTGEN channel ecosystem, he works closely with vendors and partners to execute on our commitments.

Tat Lung is the Country Manager of NEXTGEN and is responsible for leading the business in Malaysia. With more than 20 years of experience in sales and management roles within the IT channel community, Tat Lung is an industry veteran.

Steve founded Frontline Systems in 1992, selling the business to NTT in 2012. He was the founding investor in NEXTGEN Distribution, which started operations in late 2011, and joined the Board in August 2016.

Gary is a highly respected figure in the ICT industry across AsiaPac, with over 35 years of senior management service for blue chips including Microsoft, Oracle and EMC in the UK, Europe, USA, Australia and Japan. Gary Joined the NEXTGEN Board as a Non-Executive Director in 2022.
